Burst pipe, no water, or sewage backing up? Call 941-755-1595. Our line is answered outside office hours and an on-call plumber is dispatched for genuine emergencies across Bradenton and Manatee County.
How after-hours calls work
Wyman Plumbing has served Bradenton since 1924. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Outside those hours your call is still answered. It reaches our after-hours service, who take the details and contact the on-call plumber. For a genuine emergency — the kind that is flooding your home or leaving you without usable water — we arrange to get someone to you.
We want to be straight about what that means: this is an on-call service, not a fully staffed office overnight. You will speak to a person, and for a true emergency we will get a plumber moving. For something that can safely wait until morning, we will book you in and tell you so rather than charge you emergency rates you do not need.
What counts as a plumbing emergency
Call us right away if you have:
- A burst or badly leaking pipe — water is actively damaging the property
- No water at all in the house
- Sewage backing up into a tub, shower or floor drain
- A water heater leaking heavily, or any smell of gas near a gas heater
- An overflowing toilet that will not stop after the supply valve is closed
- A blocked main line putting every drain in the house out of action
If there is a gas smell, leave the building first and call the gas company, then us.
What to do before we arrive
- Shut the water off. The main shut-off is usually near the street at the meter, or where the supply enters the house. Turning it clockwise stops the flow.
- For a water heater leak, close the cold supply valve on top of the heater, and switch off its breaker or gas valve.
- Open a low faucet after shutting off the main. That drains the remaining pressure and reduces what escapes from the leak.
- Move what you can out of the water — the damage bill is usually about what got wet, not the pipe itself.
- Do not run drains if sewage is backing up. Every gallon you send down makes it worse.
